Marriage Card Game is a variant of the rummy card game that is primarily played in India and neighboring countries. It is a trick-taking game that uses a deck of 21 cards and can be played by 2 to 5 players. Each player is dealt 21 cards at the beginning of the game.

Marriage Card Game has multiple variations of gameplay, with three main versions currently being played. While the basic rules are similar to other rummy games, there are some unique features that set Marriage apart. One distinctive aspect is the way the joker card, known as "maal," is revealed. Unlike other games where the joker card is predetermined, in Marriage, players can only discover the joker card once they have completed their first set of cards. To start the game, players have two options in the first half. The first option is to show three sets/sequences/triplets, where they arrange their cards into valid sets of three or more cards of the same suit in consecutive order. The second option, available only when playing with four or more players, is to show seven pairs of twin cards. Twin cards are two cards with the same face and card value. Players can choose the option that best suits their hand and strategy.

Once the first round of cards is revealed, players can see the joker (maal) card, which adds an additional element of unpredictability to the game. Players can then plan their next moves accordingly, aiming to create valid sets and sequences while utilizing the joker card to their advantage.
